The carnations with their heavenly scent and their ruffled skirts, feeling right at home in a Mason jar on my kitchen table. Thank you Jeff and Trish , I feel special.
I havn't touched my camera for a few days. Today I decided to torture myself a little and went over some photos that I took this summer. This shady lane on our property is now barren of leaves and the dead grass crunches when walked on. Well it may look good again with a blanket of snow... gee I cant wait ( pulling sweater around tighter).
This is the scene I saw as I was headed into town yesterday morning. I knew I had to stop and try to get it. I was meeting my daughter for some playhouse shopping so I just snapped a few and moved on. This morning when I loaded the pics on my computer.. I said .. WOW just like a Van Gogh painting! Funny thing was yesterday I saw a guy that looked so much like Vincent that I mused about it all day. I dont think Vinnie would be driving a white utility van though.. or would he?
I one of those women who has always loved their family with food. Now in the times of rising obesity and all the associated health risks, that has come to be a bad thing. There are some things that I have a hard time omitting from the deadly goodies list. My Secret Cinnamon Buns raise their gooey hands. I have to admit that in the past this recipe remained secret because I loved the acclaim that came with reaching the pinnacle of culinary godessness. Now I keep it a secret because if any health conscious person knew the ingredients, they would never try them. Then how would they know I love them. P.S. If you are interested in the "secret recipe" I would be willing to share . Only after a vow of secrecy is taken and a health wavier is signed.
