Running on fumes

This is how much fuel my truck took today. At 108 a ltr it's a punch in the pocketbook. I love my truck but at times like this I miss old blue.

Late night printmaking

I have been a busy girl. Clean, purge, wash, purge some more. I am getting a little closer to my decluttering goal. Ahh I just need a little creative time to relax from all the hard work. If 3 a.m. Printmaking sounds weird to you then you don't know that many artists.
Last week I taught a gelatin monotype printmaking class and was pretty excited when a fellow artist shared her stash ( I know, I know, the purging thing). Some things never change. Hey! They were gifts it would have been rude not to accept. I do believe there is some potential in the new texture goodies. Below is one of the prints I made using both her texture and mine.

Ikea Monkey business

I have been working at cleaning and purging. Getting organized and less cluttered is one of my goals this year. I am working hard here... And when I get it all done... Maybe a trip to Ikea
Maybe some monkey spotting.

Perfect couple?

In a lot of ways the farmer and I are like these two. He is strong and steady he moves deliberately, with thought and purpose. Where as I could move in any direction, I move with passion and fierce protectiveness. But every move either of makes is for the good of the game.

'Cause that's how I roll.

Yes ok, I could be called a hoarder. Although I prefer to think of it as a discriminating collector.
These roller skates are not a retro replica they are the real thing.
Made back in the days when things were meant to last.
These skates are multi generational now and I won't be giving them up soon.
They will stay in my toy box. They will be enjoyed by children and in their off time they will pose for retro style photos. Roll on!

I'll like you for always

I was tidying up the house and I found this drawing that my seven year old GD did. We went tobogganing a few weeks ago and one of our neighbours brought her GD who was a few years older. After an afternoon of hanging out together my GD proclaimed their friendship via this artwork.
What a wonderful thing that you can meet someone and fall in friendship forever in the same day.
To my BFFs I LOVE YOU.
