I drive the tractor while the farmer pounds the posts. This should keep the cows in

Now that's a bell

I went to the sport store today to find myself a pair of runners. There was a bike with some retro styling. It made me smile. It looked hand painted and this was the belll

Judge and Jury

These are the two Gelatin Monotype prints I am entering in a juried show at a local cultural center tomorrow. They will be for sale and if they dont sell they will be a part of my solo show in Sept.
Each print is unique. A gelatin slab is used as plate for the print. The process is delightfully(and sometimes frustratingly) unpredictable. This is part of the reason I love the medium. The top one is about 6 x6 and is titled "You got something I need" the bottom print is 6x9 and is titled  "Walking on sunshine". as per usual each piece gets their name from the song they remind me of.

Monday

This last weekend has lasted a month, well it seems that way. No not because the weekend drug on for what seemed like a month. The month went as fast and fun as a weekend. The whole month was spent doing things mostly reserved ( in normal lifestyles) for weekend activities. Hanging out with friends, car shopping, spending time with family, going out for meals, and gathering around a couple of campfires.
My phone has been out of order for a couple of days, this meant I was going to have to wrestle with hubby for computer time. I was shocked to realize that it has been a month since I even uploaded pictures to the computer.
I have taken a few ... like the incredible cloud show we had earlier this month, but mostly I have been partyin it up.
I'm tired... tired and worried that I may be running behind time for my work.
I got a few calls last week asking for more of my work.. one of those places is completely out of my cards, and I have alot of things to get a handle on for my upcoming solo show.
Well I guess the weekend is over.. time to get cracking.
Tomorrow is Monday and if I play my cards right and work very hard maybe I can get friday off... the boss is kind of a party animal.

Old Dogs

I guess old dogs can learn new tricks. All these years of baking cookies the old, messy, floury, have to make them all at once way. My daughter taught me this last time we made cookies. Simply roll the dough between two sheets of waxed paper. And presto !
No mess to clean up. Just pop in the fridge to chill. She says they also freeze well. I think this trick will change pie making day forever.

Love me tender

Is it weird to have a crush on a vehicle? Well call me weird then. The moment I saw that online classified ad I thought she looked hot. The ad had been up for two days. But sometimes the profile isnt as good as the real thing. Trust me this little beauty lives up to her ad. Here's to a long and happy love affair with my girl Rosie

Down at the end of lonely street

This week has been a tense week. Last week we hit a deer coming home late in the evening. No one was hurt and the damage was cosmetic only. But because the value of my car was so low it was considered a right-off. This meant the insurance company was now the proud owner of old blue. And my Elvis key chain is lonely. But not for long.

The farmer's wife

I haven't posted for awhile because I've been a little busy. When your the farmer's wife you just never know what you'll be doing. Tonight I drive the backhoe down a bush trail to our north quarter so farmer could use it to get a load of sand for a neighbour.
